Terms of Service

Here's the plain-English version of these terms. By using our website or buying any of our products, you agree to the following.

What we do

Plain English Company sells digital and printed products and services that help non-technical people set up and use AI tools (like ChatGPT, Claude, and similar). Products include a printable PDF binder, a professionally-printed spiral-bound version of the same binder shipped from Las Vegas, and a one-time 60-minute 1:1 setup call ("VIP bundle").

What you get

• Free one-page plan: a one-page PDF emailed to you in under 60 seconds, written from the short form you fill out on our site. No payment.
• $19 Setup Binder (PDF): a printable PDF, over 60 pages, organized in 8 sections, with a download link emailed to you right after you check out.
• $49 Setup Binder (Print): the same binder, spiral-bound and printed on demand, shipped from Las Vegas. Typically delivered in 3–5 business days inside the US.
• $197 VIP bundle: the printed binder plus a one-time scheduled 60-minute 1:1 setup call over Zoom or phone. You book the call after purchase using the Cal.com link we send you.

Payment

Payments are processed securely by Stripe at checkout. You agree to Stripe's terms when you buy through them. We do not see or store your credit card number — that lives with Stripe.

Refunds

Different products have different refund rules because they cost us different things to deliver. Here is the whole policy:

• $19 PDF binder: 30-day refund, no questions asked. Email us within 30 days of purchase, we issue the refund the same business day, and we deactivate your download link. You keep any file you already downloaded — we are not going to claw it back.
• $49 print binder: Final sale once it ships. Reason: once Lulu's print facility has run the job and the carrier has it, we cannot un-print it. If the order has not yet been sent to print (typically within 24 hours of purchase), we will cancel and refund in full — email us right away.
• $197 VIP bundle: Final sale once you have booked the 1:1 setup call on our calendar. Reason: the calendar slot is the product. If you have not yet booked, we will refund in full minus the print fulfillment cost if the printed binder has already shipped (because that part is the $49 print tier, see above).

If something is wrong on our end — wrong file, wrong page count, the print arrived damaged, the call did not happen because we did not show up — we make it right regardless of which tier. Email hello@plainenglishcompany.com and explain what happened. We answer within one business day.

What we ask of you

• Don't share the digital files publicly (sending them to a family member is fine; uploading them to a public website is not)
• Don't resell our products as your own
• Don't use our materials to train AI models
• Be patient with us on email — we're a small team and respond within 1 business day, usually faster

What we don't promise

The AI tools we teach about (ChatGPT, Claude, etc.) are made by other companies. We do not control their pricing, features, availability, or accuracy. When the underlying tool changes its interface, we update our binders within 30 days. We are not affiliated with, endorsed by, or certified by OpenAI, Anthropic, Google, Microsoft, or any other AI provider.

AI tools sometimes produce confidently-wrong answers. We teach you when to trust them and when to double-check, but we cannot guarantee any specific outcome from using them.

Limitation of liability

Our total liability to you for any claim arising from our products or services is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months prior to the claim. We are not liable for indirect damages (lost profits, lost time, etc.). Some jurisdictions don't allow limitations on certain warranties, so portions of this section may not apply to you.

Termination

You can stop using our products at any time. We can stop selling to a specific customer if they violate these terms (e.g. by reselling our materials). In that case any download links are deactivated; we do not claw back files you already have.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Nevada, USA. Plain English Company is operated by Pure Path LLC, a Nevada limited liability company. Disputes will be resolved in the state or federal courts located in Clark County, Nevada — unless you live in a jurisdiction whose consumer-protection laws require disputes to be heard locally, in which case those rules apply.

Changes to these terms

If we change these terms materially, we will email everyone on our list at least 30 days before the new version takes effect. Continuing to use our products after the effective date means you accept the new terms.
